Promoting Mental Health at Roots IVY Riverview Campus

Mental health has become an essential part of tod-s academic world. With the rising pressure of grades and achieving academic excellence, students are more stressed than to be creative. At Roots IVY, we prioritise the mental health of students and work on their skill set rather than making them run after As. We provide our students a safe environment where they learn the modern concepts and techniques along with the counselling by their mentors.

Overview of the Mental Health Event:

The Mental Health Event at Roots IVY, River View Campus was especially organised to spread the awareness and importance of Mental Health among the students and faculty. The motive behind this event was to promote mental health in the education sector and transform a campus that prioritises mental well being over every other thing. The mentors briefed the practical strategies to deal with anxiety, depression, stress and other mental health challenges.

The prime objective of this workshop was to mitigate the stress factors that are quite common among students in today’s age. This workshop was led by the campus counsellor and psychologist who explained the methodologies to improve mental health. The campus also organised the one-one sessions to address the issues and experiences of students. In the session, it was emphasised how important it is to share and speak up about the things which are triggering. Moreover, the attendees were encouraged to break the stigma by sharing and seeking help from the mentors or loved ones to solve their problems.

Impact of Mental Health Workshop On Campus:

Initiatives like Mental Health Workshop at Roots IVY School Systems, play a significant role in building confidence and self awareness among students. Such workshops contribute a great part to the community by strengthening the mental health of the community.

The core purpose of holding such workshops at campuses is to remove the barrier in communication of students and mentors/ instructors and make them so comfortable that they can speak up about their problems and issues which they’re suffering from. Through this event, Roots IVY sends a powerful message to the community that mental health still matters and breaks the stigma by spreading awareness and significance of mental health. Roots IVY believes when institutes take such steps, it encourages students and faculty to seek help.

Mental Health & Educational Success:

The experiments have proved that there is a strong connection between mental health and educational success. Students who are suffering from mental health are often observed to be unable to produce satisfactory academic results. On the contrary, students who are mentally more stable and focused, produce good academic results.

The workshop at Roots IVY indeed has the motive to tell the importance of mental health in producing good grades. This workshop highlights how they can be more focused and improve their concentration towards their tasks and goals. Mental health is equally important for faculty staff as well. Sometimes the back to back deadlines and workload pressure often demotivates the staff and put them in depression. This again, in return to produce failures in the academic journey of students. An instructor with mental health issues will not be able to lead its students with optimism. Creating an environment where students and faculty lead an excellent academic journey without any stress and mental health issues is the top priority of Roots IVY.

A Supportive Campus Culture:

Creating a culture where mental health is prioritised year-round is a more effective way to promote mental health on campus than simply planning activities. This culture is being fostered at Roots IVY Riverview Campus through such programmes where mental health among students and faculty members is being prioritised.

Education is one of the best strategies to establish a welcoming campus atmosphere. The campus is indeed responsible for changing the attitude and perceptions of staff members and students. Encapsulating such activities as a part of their curriculum brings a positive impact on the campus life of staff members and students as well.

Role of Community:

Community plays a great role in reshaping and promoting mental health. When the students and staff are more connected to society, they will feel more supported and more confident to speak up about their issues and sufferings. That workshop at River View Campus was a reminder of how important the role of community is in developing mental health.

Campuses are responsible for creating a depression free and a healthy environment where students and staff can perform to the best of their abilities. Through one-one discussion and such activities, the level of stress can be minimised among the faculty staff and students.

Conclusion:

At Roots Ivy Riverview Campus, promoting mental health is more than just planning activities; it’s more about creating an environment where mental health is prioritised. The mental health event served as an effective reminder of how crucial it is to implement mental health initiatives in educational environments. Roots IVY always promotes a supportive and psychologically healthy environment for its staff and students by offering resources, education, and support. The campus’s ongoing dedication to mental health is a strong model for other academic institutions to imitate.
