This course shares its first stage with Bedfordshire’s other related BSc degrees to give you a foundation in the subject while providing a platform for specialist study in the second and third stages. You will concentrate on essential areas such as systems architecture and security, acquire practical programming, modelling and software development skills before focusing on a chosen specialist area for your final stage project.

Admissions Requirement for BSc Information Technology

In order to achieve 16 years of education equivalence from Higher Education Commission Pakistan, it is essential to have completed 12 years of local education (Metric/Intermediate) or 8 O-levels and 3 A-levels. In other instances, you will normally need to have the following:

Course Modules

The BSc degree is available through a 12 course Standard Route. To complete the programme in as few as three years, students must take the equivalent of four full courses per year.

Year 1: Level 4

Assessments in BSc Information Technology

You are assessed in a variety of ways. The majority of units are assessed through coursework, group and individual projects, portfolios, essays, presentations or exams. You will also produce software artefacts in the area of your specialism. Constant feedback and advice from a supervisory or unit team will be provided to support you in your work.

Mode of Study in BSc Information Technology

The programme is taught using face-to-face learning. Students will have access to IVY resources as well as University of Bedfordshire BREO/VLE to complete their studies/modules. Support will be provided by local and link tutors at IVY and UOB.
